    Bob Neuhard

    Executive Director of OSI

    Bob currently serves as the Executive Director of the Office of Operational Strategic Initiatives which is charged with identifying, responding to, leading, and supporting unique initiatives and opportunities across campus on behalf of the Chancellor and the Chief Financial Officer. He specializes in building consensus in highly dynamic situations by developing comprehensive strategies and solutions to the most complicated and novel issues and opportunities. His focus is on strategic leadership and alliances, high impact negotiations, and delivering transformational outcomes.

  • Kathryn Herrera

    Kathryn Herrera

    Special Projects Coordinator and Executive Assistant to Bob Neuhard and Angela Song 

    Kathryn Herrera serves as the Project Coordinator and temporary Executive Assistant for the Office of Operational Strategic Initiatives. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine (2011-2013). Kathryn received her B.A. from UC San Diego (2010) in International Relations: Political Science and her M.A. from Columbia University (2016) in Human Rights Studies, with an emphasis on education policy.

    Angela Song

    Senior Director of OSI

    Angela is the Senior Director of Organizational Assessments and Strategy who provides training and consultation on Lean Six Sigma and Balanced Scorecard methodologies for strategic planning and translating data into measurable actions and outcomes. Her current specialized focus is on delivering quantitative and qualitative data generation models for higher education, identifying opportunities for end-to-end process improvements, and bringing transparency surrounding university measures of success.

    Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives

    Allorah is the Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives for UC San Diego's Office of Operational Strategic Initiatives. As Managing Director, Allorah oversees the projects and programs portfolios for the Strategic Initiatives team. She provides leadership and strategy for the Standing Committee on Service and People Oriented Administrative Culture (SC-SPOC), IdeaWave, and OSI’s Continuous Improvement & Lean Six Sigma programs.

  • Traci Carpenter

    Traci Carpenter

    Traci serves as the Project Director for financial simplification initiatives sponsored by the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer. Her areas of expertise include project and change management, budget planning and management, and policy analysis and development.
  • Lynette Essey

    Lynette Essey

    Lynette is a Project Director for OSI and a senior professional with over 17 years’ experience in various business disciplines, both in the United States and Abroad. Having worked in Telecoms, banking, and Government, she brings a wide range of skills to the OSI team including organizational development and realignment, process improvement, strategy development and execution, project management, and stakeholder management.  Her current role sees her leading many exciting and impactful projects across campus, collaborating with various campus partners towards shared success.
  • Melani Roberson

    Melani Roberson

    Melani serves as a Senior Strategic Innovation Analyst and is the Program Manager for the campus’ ideation tool and program, IdeaWave. She is an expert in innovation management, and consults and advises groups on campus, as well as externally, on how to achieve and implement business innovation goals. Melani is is the primary point of contact and coordinator for IdeaWave.

    Antonio Nava

    Antonio serves as a Program Analyst and is the Program Manager for the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training and supports IdeaWave. He has worked in higher education since 2006 in various capacities including Registrar Operations, institutional effectiveness and engagement, and program management. Antonio is the is the primary point of contact and coordinator for LSS training questions and requests.
  • Bradley Sollenberger

    Bradley Sollenberger

    Brad is a Strategic Initiatives Manager and a certified change practitioner. His areas of expertise are operational improvement, program development and analysis, clinic and ancillary facilities and construction project management, and strategic planning facilitation.
  • Darcy Frailey

    Darcy Frailey

    Darcy is a Senior Strategic Initiatives Analyst and a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Darcy enjoys focusing on building positive people-focused experiences and has years of experience in higher education, information technology, team and program development, and strategic planning facilitation.
  • Stephen Larkin

    Stephen Larkin

    Stephen is a Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives who is skilled at change management and an experienced group facilitator. His areas of expertise also include project management, process improvement, continuous improvement, stakeholder management and relationship building. He has led significant software implementations, strategic technology assessments, process improvement and change management efforts.

    Ricardo Santiago

    Ricardo is a Senior Strategic Initiatives Analyst with UC San Diego’s Office of Operational Strategic Initiatives team. He has leveraged his legal and organizational development consulting background for several years working with clients including federal agencies, non-profits, and private business owners.

    Kristin Kielich

    Kristin serves as an Engagement Manager where she employs a proven framework for success in multiparty facilitation, project management, and analysis across diverse continuous improvement projects. She also leads efforts that are focused on operational innovations and identifying collaborative business solutions.

  • Grace Guarin

    Grace Guarin

    Grace is the Senior Program Analyst for the Tritonlytics team at OSI. She is the Chief Project Manager and manages multiple large scale surveys for external clients, including the UC, CSU, and the CSU System Chancellor’s Office.
  • Kristin Ly

    Kristin Ly

    Kristin is the Program Analyst for the Tritonlytics team within the Organizational Assessments and Strategy (OAS) unit at OSI.  Kristin also provides marketing assistance, quality assurance, and reporting support to both the internal and external survey program portfolios.  Kristin is the primary point of contact and coordinator for UC San Diego’s campus-wide surveys (Faculty and Staff Customer Satisfaction Survey, Staff@Work Survey, and Student Satisfaction Survey)

  • Cheryl Olson

    Cheryl Olson

    As a Principal Surveys and Metrics Analyst, Cheryl is instrumental in supporting the growing demand for assessments, data insights, and analytics. Cheryl has extensive background in survey development and analysis and she makes a significant impact and contribution to our campus in the work she has done for our VC-EDI Office where she worked to translate the new EDI survey results into compelling and effective reports and presentations for our Vice Chancellor of EDI.
  • Paul Chan

    Paul Chan

    Paul is serving as a Principal Surveys and Metrics Analyst where he is currently coordinating over ten survey projects for the UC, CSU, and other university campuses and also oversees the automation of all the survey reports and conducts analytics of survey and institutional data. His professional expertise includes data mining, statistical analysis, data visualization, metrics development, and training.
  • Wayde Gilliam

    Wayde Gilliam

    Wayde serves as an Applications Programmer who provides technical oversight for OSI led ideation initiatives, dashboard, and analytic applications. His current focus includes the on-going development and enhancement of a survey delivery and business intelligence system that serves to provide key metrics through the implementation of numerous campus wide surveys across UC and other higher education institutions.
